**23-Year-Old Woman Identified in Fatal South Tyler Dog Attack**
TYLER, Texas – A 23-year-old woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal dog attack that occurred in South Tyler this past Saturday, January 13. Alexandria Ison died after an incident involving three large dogs.
Tyler Police Department officers responded around 4:30 PM Saturday to a call reporting an unresponsive person in the 3500 block of County Road 1129, an area located near Paluxy Drive and Grande Boulevard. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found Ison with clear signs of a dog attack.
Authorities identified the dogs involved as three large American Bully or Pit Bull mix breeds. Tyler Animal Control quickly seized the animals following the incident. The dogs are currently undergoing a mandatory 10-day rabies quarantine at the Tyler Animal Control facility.
The owner of the dogs has been identified and located, according to officials. The Tyler Police Department is leading a death investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ison's death. While the investigation is ongoing, police have not ruled out the possibility of filing charges.
Justice of the Peace Gary Aldredge has ordered an autopsy to officially determine the cause of death for Alexandria Ison.
