Lauren Virginia Hogan, 26, Dies

Tyler, TX – Lauren Virginia Hogan, a beloved teacher at Rusk Elementary School, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at the age of 26. Her death leaves a significant void in the Tyler community.

Born March 24, 1999, Ms. Hogan was a graduate of John Tyler High School, Class of 2017. She furthered her education at Texas A&M University in College Station, earning her degree in 2021. She dedicated her professional life to educating young students at Rusk Elementary School, located at 3433 E 5th St, Tyler, TX. Outside of her classroom, Ms. Hogan was known for her love of reading, hiking with her dog, Buddy, and cherished time spent with her family.

She is survived by her parents, Chris and Amy (Darden) Hogan; her sister, Meredith Hogan; her brother, David Hogan; her paternal grandparents, Jim and Betty Hogan; and her maternal grandmother, Virginia Darden.

A funeral service will take place Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church Tyler, 301 W. Ferguson St, Tyler, TX.
