Tyler ISD Approves 2024-2025 Instructional Calendar

Tyler ISD's Board of Trustees officially approved the instructional calendar for the 2024-2025 school year during its regular meeting on December 18, 2023. The Board selected Option A, which was developed following extensive community and staff input.

Students in Tyler ISD will begin the 2024-2025 academic year on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Key dates for the upcoming school year include:
* **Labor Day Holiday:** Monday, September 2, 2024.
* **Staff Development Day (Student Holiday):** Monday, October 14, 2024.
* **Thanksgiving Break:** Monday, November 25, 2024, through Friday, November 29, 2024.
* **Winter Break:** Monday, December 23, 2024, with students returning on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
* **Staff Development Day (Student Holiday):** Monday, February 17, 2025.
* **Spring Break:** Monday, March 10, 2025, through Friday, March 14, 2025.
* **Good Friday Holiday:** Friday, April 18, 2025.

The last day of school for students will be Thursday, May 22, 2025, which will include an early release. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025.

Two bad weather makeup days have been designated: Monday, April 21, 2025, and Monday, June 2, 2025, if needed.

The approved calendar was a result of a comprehensive process that included input from various stakeholders. The District Calendar Committee gathered feedback from staff, parents, and community members through an online survey conducted in November.
