**Tyler ISD Board Extends Superintendent Marty Crawford's Contract Through 2027**
**TYLER, TX –** The Tyler ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a one-year contract extension for Superintendent Dr. Marty Crawford at a special board meeting on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. The extension will keep Dr. Crawford at the helm of the district through June 30, 2027.
Dr. Crawford, whose previous contract was set to expire on June 30, 2026, will continue to receive his current annual salary of $265,000.
Board President Dr. Jennifer Hines stated the decision was a unanimous one, reflecting the board's satisfaction with Dr. Crawford's performance since he began his tenure in July 2023. "We are incredibly proud of Dr. Crawford's leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to our students and staff," Dr. Hines said. "His outstanding work has led to significant improvements in student outcomes, safety, and operational efficiencies across the district. We are excited for Tyler ISD's continued success under his direction."
