**Tyler Man Arrested After Leaving ID at Scene of Veterans Day Flag Vandalism Downtown**

A Tyler man was arrested Tuesday, November 11th, after allegedly vandalizing several Veterans Day flags displayed in downtown Tyler, specifically near the Smith County Courthouse at Spring and Ferguson streets. Police say the suspect left his Texas driver's license at the scene.

The Tyler Police Department responded to reports that numerous flags, placed annually by American Legion Post 12, had been pulled from their poles and thrown into the street and onto sidewalks overnight between Monday, November 10th, and Tuesday, November 11th, Veterans Day. Some of the flags were also reportedly damaged.

Investigators at the scene recovered a Texas driver's license, which led them to identify the suspect as 54-year-old Ronald Dewayne Henderson of Tyler.

Henderson was subsequently arrested and booked into the Smith County Jail on Tuesday, November 11th, facing a charge of criminal mischief.
