Tyler, TX – Registered voters within the Tyler Independent School District will soon decide on a $418.8 million bond package across four propositions, with Election Day set for May 4, 2024. Early voting begins Monday, April 22, and runs through Tuesday, April 30.

The bond package is divided into four distinct propositions:

* **Proposition A ($220.8 million)**: This is the largest proposition, focusing on significant district-wide improvements. It includes funding for a new 6A high school, which would replace the current Legacy High School campus. Funds are also earmarked for expanding the district's Career and Technology Center, along with essential districtwide safety, security, and technology upgrades.

* **Proposition B ($115.8 million)**: This proposition addresses renovations and upgrades for five middle schools: Boulter Middle School, Hubbard Middle School, Moore Middle School, Hogg Middle School, and Three Lakes Middle School.

* **Proposition C ($59.3 million)**: Focused on elementary school improvements, this proposition targets renovations and upgrades at four campuses: Clarkston Elementary School, Orr Elementary School, Rice Elementary School, and Rusk Elementary School.

* **Proposition D ($22.9 million)**: This proposition is dedicated to athletic improvements across the district. It includes funding for new field houses and track & field replacements at both Legacy High School and Tyler High School.

Tyler ISD officials have stated that the bond package is projected to result in no increase to the debt service tax rate. Furthermore, the district is projecting an overall tax rate reduction for the 2024-25 school year.
