**Tyler to Lose Three Restaurants by End of December**
Tyler, Texas – Tyler's dining landscape is set to change significantly next month as three popular local restaurants prepare to close their doors permanently by the end of December 2023. The closures span various culinary offerings, impacting the city's vibrant food scene.
Prime Cut Steak & Seafood, a fixture at 2023 WSW Loop 323, will serve its last meal on December 17th. Owners Ken and Brenda Lewis are closing the establishment due to their lease expiring and Ken Lewis's ongoing health issues.
Juicy's Shaved Ice, located at 1319 E 5th Street, is also slated to close sometime in December, though an exact final date has not yet been announced. Owner Amber Smith confirmed the closure is a result of her plans to move out of state.
Rounding out the list of closures is Pizza Press, situated at 1729 SSE Loop 323, Suite 100. Its final day of operation will be December 21st. Owner Jonathan Eudy cited persistent labor issues and increasing food costs as the primary challenges leading to the decision to close.
The departure of these three establishments — Prime Cut Steak & Seafood, Juicy's Shaved Ice, and Pizza Press — highlights the ongoing challenges faced by local businesses in the current economic climate, from rising operational costs to staffing difficulties and personal circumstances.
