**Four Tyler Residents Charged in Child Abuse, Online Solicitation Case; Bonds Set at $1.5 Million Each**

TYLER, Texas – The Smith County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest and charging of four Tyler residents in connection with an investigation into the continuous sexual abuse and online solicitation of a minor. The arrests follow an investigation launched in February 2023.

Jessica Elizabeth Miller, 38, William Michael Miller, 39, Amanda Marie Jones, 37, and Joseph Stephen Jones, 38, all residents of Tyler, are each facing three counts of continuous sexual abuse of a young child and one count of online solicitation of a minor.

According to the Smith County Sheriff's Office, Jessica and William Miller were taken into custody on July 20, 2023. Amanda and Joseph Jones were arrested a few days later, on July 25, 2023. All four individuals are currently being held on bonds set at $1.5 million each.

The investigation, which began in February 2023, focused on allegations that a teenage girl was groomed and subsequently sexually assaulted within Smith County.
