**Tyler ISD Opens Advanced Operations Center, Boosting District-Wide Security**

TYLER, TX – Tyler ISD officially launched its new District Operations Center in Fall 2023, marking a significant stride in enhancing student and staff safety across the district. The state-of-the-art facility, funded by the 2022 Bond approved by local voters, consolidates advanced security and operational capabilities into a single hub.

Dr. Marty Crawford, Superintendent of Tyler ISD, emphasized the center's critical role in fostering a proactive approach to security. "This center represents a monumental leap forward in how we safeguard our students and staff," Dr. Crawford stated. "It’s about having the tools and the coordination to respond effectively and, more importantly, to prevent incidents."

Chief Tony Braly, the district's Chief of Police and District Operations, detailed the sophisticated monitoring systems now in place. "We are now actively monitoring all district facilities around the clock, 24/7, utilizing real-time video and cutting-edge security technology," Chief Braly explained. He noted that this new centralized location is a substantial upgrade from their previous setup, which was located at 314 E. 8th Street.

The new center integrates advanced technology with enhanced communication capabilities, allowing for significantly quicker response times and improved coordination during any emergency situation. Shane Brown, Chief of Facilities, played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the facility. The District Operations Center underscores Tyler ISD's commitment to maintaining a secure learning and working environment for its entire community.
