Tyler, TX – Tattoo parlors across Tyler are bracing for an exceptionally busy day this Friday, October 13th, as the popular Friday the 13th flash sale tradition draws large crowds. This beloved tradition, which originated in Texas in the late 1990s, sees shops offering small, pre-drawn, often spooky or "13"-themed tattoos at a set price.

The classic deal for these events is $13 for the tattoo itself, with a mandatory $7 tip, making each piece a flat $20 out the door. Shop owners anticipate significant turnout, with some expecting customers to begin lining up well before opening hours.

Ryan Gardner, owner of Electric Panther Tattoo located at 1718 S. Beckham Avenue, Suite 100, confirmed his shop will kick off sales at 9 AM this Friday. Gardner anticipates customers could start lining up as early as midnight or 4 AM to secure a spot. He expects Electric Panther Tattoo to complete between 150 and 200 tattoos throughout the day.

Further south, Crimson Veil Tattoo, formerly known as House of Ink, is also preparing for a marathon session. Owner Michael Womack, whose shop is located at 3500 S. Broadway Avenue, is estimating an even higher volume, preparing to ink anywhere from 200 to 300 tattoos on Friday. Artist Lexi Hall is among those expected to be working through the intense demand.
