**Tyler Hosts Major Equestrian Show Benefiting East Texas Therapeutic Riding Center**
TYLER, TX – The North Texas Hunter Jumper Club (NTHJC) kicked off its annual season with a major horse show in Tyler this weekend, bringing together top equestrians from across the region while raising crucial funds for the East Texas Therapeutic Riding Center (ETTRC). The competition, which began Friday, March 14, 2026, continues through Sunday, March 16, 2026, at the Texas Rose Horse Park located at 16499 FM 14.
This annual kickoff event showcases both hunter and jumper disciplines, drawing approximately 300 horses and riders daily from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Spectators are welcome to attend free of charge, with daily competition starting bright and early at 8:00 AM. The show features a wide range of talent, from young children on lead lines to high-level Grand Prix jumpers, all vying for prize money and prestigious awards.
A portion of all proceeds from the event directly benefits the East Texas Therapeutic Riding Center, a non-profit organization based in Flint, TX, on FM 2493. ETTRC provides life-changing therapeutic riding programs for individuals facing physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
