Smith County authorities have arrested and charged three men in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred at a club on Highway 64 West in Smith County in the early hours of Saturday, December 9th. The incident resulted in the deaths of Deon Ray Smith and David Goffney Jr.
Christopher L. Smith, 33, was the first suspect apprehended, arrested on December 9th. The Smith County Sheriff's Office subsequently arrested two additional suspects on December 11th: Demarcus Lashun Smith, 31, and Jordon Deante Smith, 27.
Demarcus Lashun Smith, 31, faces a Capital Murder charge related to the death of Deon Ray Smith. His bond has been set at $1,000,000.
Christopher L. Smith, 33, is charged with Murder in the death of Deon Ray Smith, with a bond set at $1,000,000. He also faces a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for the shooting of David Goffney Jr., with an additional bond set at $150,000.
Jordon Deante Smith, 27, is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in connection with the shooting of David Goffney Jr. His bond has been set at $150,000. All three men are currently held following the charges filed by the Smith County Sheriff's Office.
