Tyler shooting kills 2, injures 2 at nightclub

TYLER, Texas – Two women were killed and two other individuals injured in an early morning shooting at the Luxe Nightclub in Tyler on Sunday, December 17. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. at the establishment located at 211 East Front Street.

Authorities identified the two deceased women as Kiearra Johnson, 21, of Tyler, and Shabrea Britton, 28, of Dallas. A male and a female also sustained injuries in the shooting; both are currently reported to be in stable condition.

The Tyler Police Department is actively investigating the incident. As of the current report, no arrests have been made. Justice of the Peace Joe Duncan has ordered autopsies for both Johnson and Britton. A security guard from the Luxe Nightclub confirmed to investigators that they were on duty when the shooting took place.

By 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, the nightclub’s door was locked, and a small memorial had already begun to form outside the building.
