**Fatal Train Collision Reported in Tyler; Investigation Underway**

TYLER, Texas – A person died Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a train near the railroad tracks at South Palace Avenue and West Oakwood Street in Tyler. The fatal incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on December 3, 2025.

The Tyler Police Department is actively investigating the scene. Authorities have confirmed the fatality but have not yet released the victim's identity, pending notification of next of kin. Investigators stated that they do not suspect foul play at this time.

The collision caused significant traffic disruptions in the immediate area around South Palace Avenue and West Oakwood Street for several hours as emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene.
