**Former Maplewood Middle School Aide Arrested, Charged with Sexual Assault**
Harrisburg, PA – Arthur Jenkins, a former aide at Maplewood Middle School in Harrisburg, was arrested yesterday, February 25, 2026, and officially charged with felony sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police took Jenkins into custody at his home in Harrisburg. The charges stem from alleged incidents involving a 14-year-old student. The victim, originally from Tyler, Texas, was staying with relatives in the Harrisburg area when the alleged incidents occurred.
Authorities indicate the assaults reportedly took place over several months last fall, concluding just before the winter break.
Jenkins is currently being held on a $100,000 bail. His arraignment is expected to take place early next week in a Dauphin County court.
The Harrisburg School District has confirmed Jenkins' termination from his position at Maplewood Middle School and has issued a statement pledging full cooperation with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation.
