**John Tyler Lions Baseball Team Concludes 2024 Season, Highlights Mid-April Home Victories**
The John Tyler Lions baseball team officially wrapped up its 2024 season on Friday, April 26th, concluding their campaign with an 1-11 loss to Pine Tree High School in Longview. The final game was played away at Pine Tree High School, located at 1701 Pine Tree Rd, Longview, TX 75604.
Despite facing a challenging schedule throughout the spring, the Lions celebrated several high points, particularly with strong performances on their home turf at John Tyler High School, located at 1120 N NW Loop 323, Tyler, TX 75702.
A significant highlight for the team came on April 23rd, when the Lions delivered a dominant 10-0 shutout victory against Nacogdoches High School in Nacogdoches. This impressive home win was preceded by another solid performance on April 16th, where John Tyler secured a 9-4 victory over Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, also played at home. These mid-April matchups provided exciting moments for the team and their supporters.
The Lions' season included tough road and home games against various district opponents. Earlier in April, they faced an 0-11 loss to Lufkin High School in Lufkin on April 19th, and consecutive 0-10 shutouts against Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse on April 12th and Longview High School in Longview on April 9th. Their season commenced on February 20th with an away game against Henderson High School in Henderson.
