A Longview man was fatally shot early Sunday morning outside a Noonday lounge, leading to the arrest of his brother on a murder charge. Demarion Lamas Miller, 24, of Longview, was identified as the victim in the shooting that occurred around 1:30 AM on Sunday, December 10th, outside the Pure Ultra Lounge located at 18274 State Highway 155 South.

Authorities identified the suspect as Demontae Marquise Miller, 25, of Tyler, Demarion Miller's brother. Demontae Miller was charged with murder and booked into the Smith County Jail on December 11th. His bond has been set at $500,000.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at the Pure Ultra Lounge, where they found Demarion Miller with a gunshot wound. Justice of the Peace Pct 2 Judge Andy Sevier pronounced him deceased at the location.

The ensuing investigation involved significant resources from the Smith County Sheriff's Office, the Smith County District Attorney's Office, the Texas Rangers, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Investigators executed a search warrant on December 11th at a residence located at 2501 S. Vine Ave in Tyler. Following the execution of the warrant, Demontae Miller surrendered to authorities.
