**Tyler Bakery Raises Storm Recovery Funds Through Sweet Treats**
TYLER, Texas – Rose City Sweets, a local family-owned and operated bakery in Tyler, is dedicating the entire month of March to supporting East Texas communities recovering from a severe winter storm that impacted the region in mid-February. Owners Daniel and Katie Riffle are donating a percentage of all sales to People Attempting To Help (PATH), a Tyler-based non-profit organization.
The initiative began shortly after the February storm, with the bakery continuing its commitment through the end of March. Funds collected are directly channeled to PATH, which is recognized for its ability to allocate resources effectively toward various storm recovery efforts, including financial assistance and emergency shelter, rather than solely providing immediate relief like hot meals.
Katie Riffle noted the widespread community support for their efforts. "We're even getting calls from across East Texas, not just Tyler, with people driving in from places like Longview or Marshall just to support us," Riffle stated. This regional participation highlights the desire of many to contribute to local recovery.
PATH, located at 401 W. Front St., Tyler, TX 75702, and accessible online at path-tyler.org, is scheduled to pick up this week's accumulated donations from Rose City Sweets this coming Tuesday. Rose City Sweets is located at 1533 WSW Loop 323, Tyler, TX 75701, and can be found online at rosecitysweets.com. The ongoing partnership aims to provide crucial assistance to families working to rebuild their lives following the recent severe weather event.
