**Salvation Army Tyler Kicks Off Angel Tree Registration for Christmas Assistance**
TYLER, Texas – The Salvation Army in Tyler has announced the opening of registration for its annual Angel Tree program, offering Christmas assistance to eligible families in Smith County. The program aims to provide gifts for children aged 12 and under by December 25, 2023.
Families seeking aid must reside in Smith County and have children who meet the age requirement. Registration is scheduled over two weeks in September. The first registration period runs from Monday, September 18, through Friday, September 22. The second period will be held from Monday, September 25, through Friday, September 29.
Registration hours are specific to the day of the week. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, families can register during two time slots: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, or 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. On Wednesdays and Fridays, registration is available only in the morning, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
All registrations will take place at The Salvation Army's main facility, located at 633 N. Broadway Ave., Tyler, TX 75702.
Applicants must bring a comprehensive set of documents to complete the registration process. Essential items include:
