Highland Park Throttles Tyler High 49-14 at Gerald B. Stadium
UNIVERSITY PARK – The Highland Park Scots football team delivered a dominant performance this past Friday, September 15, defeating the Tyler High Red Raiders 49-14 at Gerald B. Stadium in University Park.
The Scots established an early lead, scoring 21 points before the conclusion of the first quarter. Running back Jayden Sistrunk was a key offensive force, tallying three rushing touchdowns and accumulating over 150 yards on the ground. Quarterback Jackson Heis contributed with both a touchdown pass and a rushing touchdown. Later in the game, Jack Rake also threw a touchdown pass for Highland Park.
Tyler High managed to get on the scoreboard in the second quarter with a touchdown run by Derrick McFall shortly before halftime. Trevon McFall added another score in the third quarter, catching a pass from Jaylon Biddle. However, Highland Park had already built a commanding 42-7 lead by halftime.
Following the victory, the Highland Park Scots now hold a 3-1 season record, while the Tyler High Red Raiders stand at 1-3.
The Scots will host Lake Highlands in University Park for their next game on Friday, September 22. The Red Raiders will return home to Tyler to play McKinney on the same Friday, September 22.
