**Tyler Police Investigate Road Rage Shooting on Grande Boulevard; One Injured**
**TYLER, Texas** – Tyler Police are investigating a road rage shooting that occurred Tuesday morning on Grande Boulevard, resulting in one person sustaining a non-life-threatening leg injury. Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect.
The incident unfolded around 8:30 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, near the Green Acres area of Grande Boulevard in Tyler. According to police, the altercation began when one driver cut off another, leading to an exchange of words between the two individuals.
The victim, driving a pickup truck, continued southbound on Grande Boulevard. As the victim reached the intersection of Grande Boulevard and Paluxy Drive, the suspect's vehicle pulled up alongside. A single shot was fired, striking the victim in the leg. The injury is reported as non-life-threatening.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene, traveling eastbound on Paluxy Drive.
Police are actively searching for a male driver operating a silver Nissan Altima, believed to be a 2013 to 2015 model. Tyler Police Ofc. Andy Eads is urging anyone who was driving on Grande Boulevard between the Green Acres area and Paluxy Drive around 8:30 AM on Tuesday to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in any potential witnesses or dashcam footage from that time and location.
