**Tyler ISD Board Approves 2024-2025 Instructional Calendar**

Tyler ISD students will begin the 2024-2025 school year on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, and conclude classes on Thursday, May 22, 2025, following the official approval of the instructional calendar by the Tyler ISD Board of Trustees on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

The approved calendar for the Tyler, Texas district includes a full week for Thanksgiving Break, running from November 25 through November 29, 2024. Winter Break is scheduled from December 23, 2024, to January 3, 2025, with students returning to campuses on Monday, January 6, 2025. Spring Break will take place from March 10 to March 14, 2025.

Additional student holidays throughout the year include Labor Day on September 2, 2024; October 14, 2024; January 20, 2025; February 17, 2025; and April 21, 2025. Good Friday, April 18, 2025, is also designated as a holiday for both students and staff.

Early release days are scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024, ahead of Winter Break, and on the final day of school, Thursday, May 22, 2025.

The district adopted "Calendar A," which garnered significant support through a public survey. Tyler ISD received over 10,000 responses to the calendar options, with Calendar A emerging as the preferred choice among community members.
