Tyler ISD's CADA Prepares Nearly 2,000 Students Annually for In-Demand Careers
TYLER, Texas – The Tyler ISD Career and Technology Center, known as CADA, continues to serve as a vital resource for high school students seeking practical career training and valuable industry certifications. Annually, approximately 2,000 students from both Legacy High and Tyler High access CADA’s extensive programs, designed to prepare them for in-demand career fields.
Located in Tyler, CADA offers a comprehensive array of courses focused on equipping students with hands-on skills. Programs include Nursing, Welding, Automotive Technology, Criminal Justice, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, and HVAC, among others. The center's state-of-the-art facilities provide a realistic learning environment where students engage in practical work, moving beyond theoretical knowledge.
A significant benefit of CADA’s offerings is the opportunity for students to earn over 40 industry-recognized certifications. Furthermore, some career pathways allow students to achieve an Associate's Degree while still attending high school, providing a substantial head start for their post-graduation plans, whether entering the workforce or pursuing higher education.
