TYLER, Texas – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening at a major intersection in Tyler. The incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m., closed a significant portion of the roadway for several hours.
Tyler Police officers responded to the collision at the intersection of Highway 110 and Loop 323. According to reports from the scene, the pedestrian was crossing the highway when they were hit by a vehicle.
Emergency medical services transported the injured individual to a local hospital. As of Tuesday morning, no updates on their condition have been released, and authorities have not publicly identified the pedestrian or the driver involved in the incident.
The crash caused substantial traffic disruptions, requiring westbound Loop 323 traffic to be rerouted onto Highway 110 North. Police indicated that the intersection remained an active scene and was expected to be closed for an extended period overnight while investigators processed the area.
