Tyler pedestrian killed on Loop 323

Tyler, Texas — A 22-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Loop 323 in Tyler. The fatal incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. near the Highway 155 intersection.

Tyler Police identified the victim as Oscar Flores. Authorities stated that Flores was walking in the roadway, not in a designated crosswalk, when he was hit by an eastbound Ford F-150.

The driver of the F-150 was also 22 years old. Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tyler Police are investigating the collision. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
