**Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle on South Broadway in Tyler**

TYLER, Texas – A pedestrian was killed Thursday night, March 12, 2020, after being struck by a vehicle on South Broadway in Tyler. The fatal incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. near the intersection with Donnybrook Avenue.

Authorities report that the unidentified male pedestrian was attempting to cross South Broadway (US-69) when he was hit by a southbound 2017 silver Honda Accord. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators from the Tyler Police Department's Traffic Unit. The department confirmed that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.

The collision led to significant traffic disruptions, with the area around South Broadway and Donnybrook Avenue likely closed for several hours as emergency personnel and investigators worked at the scene.
