**Bullard Man Arrested After Shooting Following Tyler Traffic Collision**

TYLER, Texas – A Bullard man faces aggravated assault charges after allegedly shooting another driver following a rear-end collision on West Loop 323 in Tyler on Wednesday morning, February 12th.

Authorities identified the suspect as 33-year-old Mark Andrew Sipes of Bullard. The victim, Michael David Risher, 58, of Flint, sustained life-threatening injuries.

According to officials, Risher was driving his grey GMC pickup truck southbound on West Loop 323 near New Copeland Road when his vehicle was struck from behind by Sipes, who was driving a tan Ford F-150. Both drivers pulled over after the collision.

An argument reportedly ensued between the two men, during which Sipes allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Risher once in the torso. Sipes then fled the scene.

Risher was transported to UT Health East Texas for treatment of his injuries.

Tyler Police and the Smith County Sheriff's Office quickly responded, locating Sipes near State Highway 155 and County Road 1125 in Flint. He was taken into custody and booked into the Smith County Jail. Sipes is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and his bond has been set at $100,000.
