Tyler Road Rage Victim Approached Vehicle

Tyler, Texas – A road rage incident on Grande Boulevard Sunday morning culminated in a fatal shooting, claiming the life of 39-year-old Brandon Davis. The Tyler Police Department is actively investigating the May 26th confrontation, which occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m.

According to police reports, the incident began with typical road rage behavior, including vehicles cutting each other off and brake checking. The situation escalated when Davis pulled his vehicle over on Grande Boulevard, exited his car, and approached the other driver's vehicle. It was at this point that Davis was shot in the chest.

Davis was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities confirm that the individual who fired the shot remained at the scene and is cooperating with the Tyler Police Department. Their identity has not yet been released.

Investigators are currently reviewing dash camera footage from Brandon Davis's vehicle as they work to piece together the sequence of events that led to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
