**Two Injured in Rollover Collision on Highway 31 West in Tyler**
TYLER, Texas – Two individuals were injured Friday morning, March 20, 2026, following a single-vehicle rollover collision on Highway 31 West in Tyler. The incident, which occurred just after 11:00 AM, resulted in temporary traffic delays and required emergency services to extricate the occupants.
According to preliminary reports, a white sedan was traveling westbound on Highway 31 West near its intersection with Loop 323 when the driver reportedly lost control. The vehicle veered off the road and subsequently flipped over into the median.
Tyler Fire and EMS personnel responded quickly to the scene. Emergency crews had to use specialized equipment to extricate an adult male and an adult female from the overturned vehicle. Both occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to UT Health East Texas Tyler for medical evaluation and treatment. One individual had a suspected arm fracture, while the other was treated for head contusions.
Police are actively investigating the cause of the crash. Initial assessments suggest that slick road conditions, potentially from light rain earlier in the day, may have been a contributing factor. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The westbound lanes of Highway 31 West experienced temporary closures and significant traffic slowdowns while emergency personnel worked to secure the scene and clear the wreckage. All lanes were reopened, and normal traffic flow resumed by approximately 12:45 PM.
