**Heritage Garden Club of Tyler's Rose Ornament Graces Governor's Public Reception Room at Texas Capitol**
Tyler, TX – A hand-painted, rose-themed ornament crafted by the Heritage Garden Club of Tyler is currently on display inside the Texas State Capitol building in Austin, proudly representing the "Rose Capital of America" as part of the "Celebrating Texas" holiday display.
The unique ornament, featuring the classic Tyler rose, can be viewed in the Governor's Public Reception Room within the Texas State Capitol, located at 1100 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701. It will remain on exhibit from early December until January 2nd.
Carol Hurlburt, president of the Heritage Garden Club of Tyler, highlighted the club's contribution. "Club members crafted it," Hurlburt stated, noting the significance of this year's placement. While the club also contributed a rose-themed ornament for the Capitol's outdoor display in 2022, this marks the first time their work has been selected for an indoor display in the Governor's public room.
The "Celebrating Texas" holiday display is a statewide initiative, featuring ornaments from garden clubs across all ten districts of the Texas Garden Clubs. Participating clubs submitted their ornaments earlier this year, making Tyler's representation a testament to its prominent horticultural heritage.
