**Tyler Salvation Army Delivers Holiday Joy to Over 2,000 Children Through Angel Tree Program**
**TYLER, TX –** The Salvation Army of Tyler successfully completed its 2024 Angel Tree gift distribution this week, bringing holiday cheer to thousands of local children and families. Over 2,000 Angel Tree gifts were distributed, benefiting a total of 1,025 families and 2,060 children across East Texas.
Families picked up their gifts from December 9th through the 11th at The Salvation Army's main building, located at 633 N. Broadway Ave. in Tyler. The massive undertaking was made possible through the generous contributions and dedicated efforts of local volunteers, community organizations, and businesses.
Captain Matt Johnson, the Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Tyler, expressed profound gratitude for the community's support. "This truly embodies the true meaning of Christmas, showcasing the incredible heart and generosity of our community," Captain Johnson stated.
While the Angel Tree gift distribution for the year has concluded, The Salvation Army's iconic Red Kettle campaign is still actively collecting donations throughout the holiday season. Contributions from the Red Kettle campaign and year-round donations are vital for supporting ongoing services, including assistance with utilities and groceries for individuals and families in need throughout East Texas.
