**UT Tyler Women's Basketball Secures Dominant First Lone Star Conference Win**
**TYLER, Texas** – The UT Tyler women's basketball team opened its Lone Star Conference (LSC) schedule with an emphatic 73-50 victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday, November 30th, at the Louise Herrington Patriot Center in Tyler. The Patriots led the Javelinas from start to finish, marking a strong beginning to their conference play.
UT Tyler quickly established control, finishing the first quarter with a 22-14 lead and extending it to a commanding 38-23 by halftime. Their lead peaked at 25 points in the fourth quarter, showcasing a comprehensive performance.
Tina Weatherby led the Patriots with a career-high 20 points, complemented by 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists. She was one of three Patriots to score in double figures. Ella Hartmann contributed 15 points, while Lovisa Hevinder added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Maranda Davis also made a significant impact with 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
As a team, UT Tyler displayed efficiency on offense, shooting nearly 48 percent from the field and over 36 percent from three-point range. They were also sharp from the free-throw line, converting 10 of their 12 attempts.
